🖼️ About Peter Brouwer
Peter A.H. Brouwer was born in Utrecht and took evening classes at the Rijksacademie in Amsterdam, where he was taught by J. Bévort. His work is characterized by bold colors, a experimental style and a preference for abstract and impressionistic compositions. He made study trips to Italy and Spain, exhibited in New York and Germany, and gained fame in the Netherlands through his reproductions, of which thousands of copies were sold.
Although he was influenced by Bévort, Brouwer developed a completely unique style: direct, vibrant and full of atmosphere. His paintings are beloved by collectors who love color, movement and character.
